'N' Tips
Make your broadcasts more successful!
Your Radio shows will be more successful if you script
them before you try to record them. Spend some time writing down what
you want to tell your audience before you press record.
Don't be afraid to do more than one take and it is almost always best
to edit your shows to make them perfect anyway. Try using Audacity which
is free audio editing software. If you need training don't forget you
can always call an MGL Curriculum Consultant!
Don't forget
you can use music in your broadcast - try producing your own jingles or
if you are making your own school soap Opera why not try out some sound
effects? You can produce rain sounds by crumpling up paper - why not try
out a few of your own?
If you are making a Video Broadcast, think about your
story - it will need a beginning, middle and an end. You should gather
together some props and think about your characters’ costumes.
When you are editing don't use too many transitions - we know that they
look cool but you don't want to spoil your film by using too many!
Even after
you have filmed don't forget you can add on another soundtrack - maybe
you could record your own theme tune!
